The purpose of the Public Outreach & Education Action Group is to recruit volunteers for all Maumee RAP Action Groups and serve as the public outreach facilitator for the Maumee RAP Committee and its other action groups in promoting the Maumee RAP.

• Current Projects:  

  • Develop and implement Partnering for Clean Streams patch program for scouts and other youth groups (2001-present)

  • Assist in creation of "Fate of a River: Revisited" as an update to the 1965 film "Fate of a River: Action or Apathy" (2000-present)

  • Assist, as requested in promoting Maumee RAP events: Clean Your Streams, Annual RAP Gathering, and Swan Creek Days (1997-present)

• Future Plans:  

  • Update Maumee RAP Speaker’s Bureau and the necessary support materials

  • Developing new methods of communication with RAP members, volunteers, and the general public.

• Past Accomplishments: 

  • Purchased Maumee RAP promotional items (2001-2002)

  • Development of a new Maumee RAP general brochure (2000)

  • Creation of new Maumee RAP Logo (1999)
