The purpose of the
Urban Runoff Action Group is to reduce the pollution in storm
water runoff from urban and developing areas throughout the
Maumee watershed.

Current Projects:

Working with the
Maumee River Regional Storm Water Coalition
(MRRSWC) for
regional collaboration on storm water issues
Worked with
the City of Toledo and the developer for Lowes on Airport Highway to construct
a storm water BMP, consisting of a
wet pond and an extended detention basin.
Coordinating
with the City of Toledo and the Toledo Metroparks on a proposed storm water
detention basin on Swan Creek Metropark property. The site will receive
water from a City of Toledo storm sewer serving Southwyck Mall and surrounding
area. The detention basin will provide storm water pollution control
benefits for this intensively used area, helping the City comply with its Ohio
EPA Storm Water Permit. This project is expected to be bid out in the
Spring of 2003.

implementation at Bowman Park (2001)

a successful storm drain stenciling program
(1994-present)
